MUSIC

Under the direction of our Music Director Marvin Gaspard, music is an integral part of every worship service.
Worship routinely includes organ, piano, hand bells, with choir and congregational singing.
Marvin frequently includes guest instrumentalists and singers as well.

CHANCEL CHOIR

Rehearsals: Sundays after worship at 11:15 a.m. in the choir room.
Except for a 6-week summer vacation, the choir sings each Sunday. There are several times during the year when the Chancel Choir sings special music for services like Jazz Communion and Christmas. Occasionally, an ensemble from the choir performs special pieces; and solos are sung by gifted members. Every now and then the choir has fun performing music for church events including caroling for our Live Nativity.  If you are a singer, the choir would love to welcome you into their musical family!

HAND BELL CHOIR

Rehearsals: Prior to upcoming performances on Sundays, 11:15 a.m. in the hand bell room. (Check the calendar.)
The St. Luke’s Ringers (adult hand bell choir) enhance our worship services on a regular basis. In addition to featured pieces, they sometimes accompany the choir’s anthems or congregational hymns.
The Campane Belle (youth hand bell choir) add joy to worship services as well. This choir is for youth in grades 6 through 12.
Whether you love to ring or want to learn something new, consider uniting with one of our hand bell choirs.
Adults and youth are welcome.
